Rosemary Kariuki OAM

Founder of the Mama Rosemary Foundation and a well-known advocate for refugee and migrant women. For nearly two decades, Rosemary has supported women facing isolation, settlement challenges and other barriers, helping them build confidence, independence and stronger social connections. She was named 2021 Australia’s Local Hero and received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2022. Her work continues to centre on walking alongside women and helping them feel seen, supported and empowered.
